Data Informatics Collaborative Project

Summary

This project functions as a pivotal component of the Multi-omics Platform. Its primary mission is to seamlessly integrate diverse omics disciplines, genomics, transcriptome, proteome, metabolome, and cutting-edge spatial transcriptome, to derive unprecedented scientific value and deep biological insights from them.
By establishing a robust computational foundation to organize and integrate vast datasets into analyzable formats, the project serves as a hub for data-driven innovation. Our overarching vision is to support the navigation and interpretation of complex biological datasets, thereby accelerating advancements in multi-layered, integrative medical sciences. To enable researchers to freely navigate the ocean of data and make discoveries that contribute to the understanding of diseases and the development of next-generation medical solutions, we provide a solid foundation from an informatics perspective.

Activity

The core pillars of our activities are the optimization of cutting-edge analytical workflows and the democratization of access to large-scale data resources. To eliminate the technical barriers associated with establishing complex analytical environments, we provide widely accessible, standardized, and highly versatile computational environments. This framework enables researchers, ranging from bioinformatics beginners to seasoned experts, to easily and rapidly deploy the latest methodologies, thereby elevating the overall quality of analysis and vigorously promoting the exploration of new scientific frontiers through the integration of diverse datasets.
Furthermore, we lead the research community by spearheading a comprehensive infrastructure for accessing large-scale human omics databases established worldwide. Beyond simply facilitating access, we provide practical and advanced technical support on how to integrate these global biobank resources to verify original hypotheses and further enhance the sophistication of research. By establishing a research ecosystem that organically links global data resources, we provide robust support for multi-faceted analysis, ultimately fostering transformative discoveries in human health and disease.

Resources and Facilities

 【High-performance computing environment】
The high-performance computing environment that forms the foundation of our project is centered on a large-scale supercomputing system, designed for massively parallel processing of complex computations, together with high-performance GPU servers that strongly support advanced AI analyses including deep learning. Additionally, the platform is equipped with a robust, large-capacity storage infrastructure that securely and reliably accumulates the ever-growing volume of data while enabling seamless data sharing. By integrating and operating these state-of-the-art resources in a unified manner, the project optimizes the entire workflow from large-scale computation to data storage and utilization, and dramatically accelerates the generation of innovative research outcomes.
